How should the Glaxior retractable system be measured before installation?
This article describes the key measurements required for correct system configuration and highlights important considerations for obstacles and angle pass‑throughs.
Accurate measurement is essential for a correct Glaxior system installation. The main reference dimensions are:
- H1: Height of the light aperture.
- H2: Total height of the product, including allowances for uneven surfaces.
- H3: Distance from the bottom of the upper profile to the top of the lower profile.
- This value equals panel height + 12 mm.
Measurements must be taken from the outside face of the expanding profile, which defines the glazing line.
Special attention must be given to angle pass‑throughs, where posts, railings, handrails, or drainage elements could interfere with glass movement. In these cases, a detailed terrace drawing must be provided, indicating:
- Distances from obstacles (inside and outside)
- System angles other than 90°
- Heights of profiles where needed
Additionally, the distance between the upper guide and hinge must be at least 60% of the glass leaf width to ensure proper operation
